Tim Adams is the leader that puts people first.

Timothy J. Adams is a seasoned business leader and public servant with more than 30 years of experience serving Prince George’s County. He currently represents District 4 on the County Council, advocating for communities including Bowie, Greenbelt, and Glenn Dale.

A trailblazer and results-driven leader, Adams made history as Bowie’s first African American mayor and has delivered real results for residents—protecting access to quality education by keeping Pointer Ridge Elementary School open, expanding specialized autism programs, and supporting increased access to behavioral health services across the county. His leadership is rooted in strengthening communities, expanding opportunity, and improving quality of life for working families.
